kucsora_marta-1She makes the ground-color first on the canvas, as every painter. Then she goes into action. She dissolves the surface, moving the canvas to and fro, pouring and splashing the thin paint on it. Replaying the dynamics of the water, she picks up and passes the rhythm of the waves or waterfalls. For a three-meter canvas, one-and half or two hours must be enough to produce a moment frozen to the canvas: the picture itself.

In her pictures she wants to talk about the hidden elements: the undefined, elusive, amorphous materials, such as the water and the air. On the other hand, technical details are important for her. She uses spray instead of brush, blowing and splashing the thin paint. She looks for new, exciting solutions.

She struggles with the gravity. For oil paintings, using denser paints, it is possible to stay the moment at a given point. She uses real plants for pictures like photogram. Dealing with the abstraction of the Nature, she listed herself as abstract expressionist.

In 2005, she participated in a master class in New Jersey. At the art education of the US there is no basic training. They deal with the spirituality: what is behind the artist and his work. They teach the consciousness of the art, looking for the logical procedure: where it starts, where can be linked, with whom can be paralleled. Everyone learns the classic drawing where they can: at expensive private schools.

The mentality is different, there is unacceptable that an artist says: the picture just came. At the exhibition there is no opening speech: the events are professional. Everything is well made: publications, press, and relations. The galleries build up the artists, linking them to the museums and collectors. This approach started here as well. Some young gallerists are thinking in this way.

A young artists’ group, known as Budapest Art Factory was launched in 2006. The artists themselves established studios and exhibition space in a huge, long loft of an abandoned building of a machine factory. They operate the formation as a non-profit company since 2012. Open to the world, they are building international relationships, regularly interning foreign artists. They do supports each other, because being a good artist is not enough for the success.
